This weekend just gone, I ran a half marathon to fundraise for The MS Society. During my run I became really emotional. The atmosphere was incredible. The amount of love and support present all the way along the 13 mile route was so overwhelming that I experienced a momentary burst of tears.
I don’t have anything profound or particularly wise to say here. I just wanted to share my love for love. It’s all too easy and tempting to get stuck in a pessimistic pit and fail to see the beauty in humanity when we’re surrounded by so much hardship. Wars, poverty, manipulation, a shit system… these things can all contribute to a negative mindset – and rightly so. But if you tune in to a brighter perspective, there really is a lot to be grateful for. Like – A LOT. So here’s to life, the sun, the light, love, wonderful friends and family, and all the experiences that remind us that life really is golden.
